La seizième édition du Hellfest Open Air se déroulait à Clisson Rock City (44) du jeudi 15 au dimanche 19 juin 2023, soit sur six scènes et quatre jours !

Le site du Hellfest arborait une nouveauté de toute importance : la Valley ou la scène stoner / sludge / doom metal du Hellfest jusqu’alors sous chapiteau devenait une scène en plein-air et était déplacée du côté de la Warzone, la scène punk hardcore du Hellfest. Les deux scènes fonctionnaient de pair à l’instar des deux MainStages et des scènes Temple et Altar : quand l’une joue, l’autre démonte le plateau du groupe qui a joué et monte le plateau du groupe qui va jouer. À l’ancien emplacement de la Valley, se tenait The Sanctuary : une structure qui accueille le merch officiel du Hellfest. À l’emplacement des deux anciens stands de merch, se tenaient deux nouveaux bars : un bar à cocktails 🍸 ainsi qu’un bar à jus de fruits 🍹

La seizième édition du Hellfest promettait ainsi de nombreuses améliorations scénographiques, par rapport à la double et quinzième édition du Hellfest qui présentait peu de modifications scénographiques, exceptée la nouvelle statue de Lemmy qui avait été inaugurée le jeudi 23 juin 2022, lors de la première journée du second week-end de la quinzième édition du Hellfest Open Air.

L’affiche de la prochaine et seizième édition du Hellfest Open Air avec l’ensemble de la programmation sur les quatre jours et sur les six scènes du Hellfest avait été dévoilée six mois auparavant, le jeudi 15 décembre 2022 !

Je vous présente maintenant l’ensemble de la programmation sur les quatre jours scène par scène du Hellfest. Chaque scène a été représentée par une figure du jeu de tarot : l’Empereur pour la MainStage 01, l’Impératrice pour la MainStage 02, le Jugement pour la Warzone (la scène dédiée au punk hardcore), l’Ermite pour la Valley (la scène dédiée au stoner et au sludge), la Mort pour l’Altar (la scène dédiée au death et au thrash metal) et le Diable pour le Temple (la scène dédiée au black et au pagan metal) ! Les MainStages sont les scènes dédiées au hardcore et au heavy metal !
