Carach Angren, the « horror » symphonic black metal band from the Netherlands was on stage at Ferrailleur in Nantes with Nightland for a hour and a half set on the Friday, January the 27th. Fleshgod Apocalypse, who was expected to headline could not unfortunately have been on stage at Ferrailleur Friday night because of their drummer’s injury. Yet, Fleshgod Apocalypse was there for a signing session. So, Carach Angren headlined this night at Ferrailleur. I have already seen Carach Angren on stage with Fleshgod Apocalypse and SepticFlesh four years ago in Rennes in 2013 and it was a pleasure to see them again last Friday night!

The name of the band Carach Angren comes from Tolkien’s myhtology : Carach Angren is the name of a place – a fortified pass into Mordor – in Middle Earth in The Lord Of The Rings : « Carach Angren » is Sindarin for « Iron Jaws ».
